About
Hola, I’m Carlos.
Husband, father, mentor & advocate for accessibility.
I’m a software engineer passionate about building performant, accessible web experiences and mentoring the next generation of developers. At Netflix and PayPal, I’ve led teams, engineered scalable UI solutions, and driven major initiatives, including content management integrations and high-performance design systems.
With deep expertise in React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and server-driven UI, I’ve built widely adopted component libraries and optimized distributed systems. My leadership style is democratic: I foster collaboration, and I make decisive calls when they’re needed.
As a proud Mexican immigrant, breaking into Big Tech was a lifelong dream. Now I’m committed to inspiring more Latin@s to pursue careers in tech. I believe work should be creative, collaborative, and maybe even a little playful.
I’ve spent sixteen years building for the web, the last several at Netflix and seven at PayPal before that. See my full experience
